No 1 guest house is only a short distance from the English Lake District. We offer our customers comfortable accommodation within easy reach of tourist attractions. Gretna Green the town of love, famous for its weddings is only 7 miles away. Carlisle is steeped in ancient Roman and Reiver history, Hadrian's Wall is easily reachable.

Apart from all this there is an abundance of shopping in Carlisle city centre, it is only a 10 minute walk from the No 1 and is also on the Border reiver cycle trail.
